We provide fully equipped Race Day Support Gazebos to all athletes competing in this years Comrades Marathon. These gazebos are set-up along the route, allowing runners access to their pre-packed items and supplements (gels, protein shakes, snacks, sunblock, replacement socks, bandages).
Each support station allows athletes to replenish failing energy levels as well as additional refreshments and exclusive ablution facilities.

The Support Points
Support Point #1 is located at 68 Old Main Road, Kloof on the right hand side – GPS co-ordinates 29°47’30.7″S 30°49’23.1″E. Approx 25km from the start
Support Point #2 is located at the top of Inchanga on the right hand side – Cnr. Old Main & Irene St, West Durban – GPS co-ordinates 29°44’37.3″S 30°40’38.8″E. Approx 46km from the start
Support Point #3 is located at Exit 61 to R103 Umlaas Road on the right hand side – GPS co-ordinates 29°43’16.4″S 30°29’57.4″E. Approx 69km from the start.
How it Works.
Pre Race Day,Athletes drop off required items at Expo in Durban from Thursday, 6 June 2019 to Saturday, 8 June 2019.
The items will be placed into numbered, colour coded bags for each of the support points.
The athlete is provided with an identity bracelet to assist the Race Support Crew in allocating the bag at each support point.
Race Day, Access to your personal items during the race at one or all of our support points.
Post Race, Athletes collect post-race items at the Hilton Hotel Durban on Monday 11 June 2018 between 9.00 am and 11.00 am.
We provide a full day supporters package for the family and friends of runners participating in the Ultimate Human Experience. This package offers supporters an opportunity to support their runners from 2 support gazebos along the way as they take on this challenge.
The package includes.
Meet at Hilton Hotel at 4am on 10 June 2018 in Durban with coffee/tea on arrival
Depart to Support Point 1 at 4h30am, 68 Old Main Road, Kloof, GPS co-ordinates 29°47’30.7″S 30°49’23.1″E, arrival at approx 5h15am
Breakfast including champagne and orange will be served.
Refreshments will be provided.
Comfortable environment, tables, chairs, umbrellas as well as clean ablutions for our own supporters and athletes.
Supporters will be able to meet and cheer on their runners as they pass the first point.
At approx 8h45, supporters will be transported to Support Point 3 – Exit 61 to R103 Umlaas Road, GPS co-ordinates 29°43’16.4″S 30°29’57.4″E)
Traditional South Africa Braai for lunch consisting of boerewors, chicken kebabs, lamb chops, rump steak, variety of breads and fresh salads.
Refreshments will be provided including sodas, water, wine and local beers.
If 50% of the Supporters runners are through, the first coach may depart earlier.
At approximately 14h00 supporters will be transferred to the finish at Scottsville Race course where they dropped off and can meet their runners.
A backup vehicle will be on standby for emergencies
ConSports are happy to provide a bus shuttle service from the finish in Pietermaritzburg back to Durban Hilton Hotel after the Comrades 2019 race. Busses will leave at selected times from the Scottsville Race course and return both ConSports runners and supporters back to the Hilton Hotel in Durban.
